At BrassMechanics we repair and upgrade brass locomotives. I have been doing this for friends, my hometown hobby shop, and myself for quite a while, and I have decided it is time to see if I can help anyone else with their brass locomotives. This business came about as a direct result of my personal passions. I have never felt that brass locomotives belonged in a box. I think brass locomotives belong on a layout. I like to see them run. I understand that the technology available when some of these models were built was not always conducive to smooth operation. Some brass can be a little temperamental, but almost all of them have it in them to run and run well. They just need a little tuning, and maybe a little upgrading. I can do that for you.

The popularity of DCC is another reason brass gets shelved, but I am here to tell you it doesn't have to happen. I enjoy doing DCC installations and I'd be happy to put DCC in your brass locomotives. I think you will like the results.
